City Administrator Laura Wacker

Laura is a lifelong resident of Pierz, growing up on a hobby farm south of town. In 2014 she married her husband Rick at St. Joseph church in Pierz. They bought a house outside of Buckman and have 3 children. After graduating from Pierz Healy High Laura attended Central Lakes College in Brainerd attaining her Diploma of Occupational Proficiency for Medical Secretary. Within the last two years Laura has furthered her education at Western Governors University where she received both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare Management. Before accepting the position as the City Administrator of Pierz, Laura worked at the CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud for the past seven years. At that time Laura was the administrator assistant for five different surgical departments.  “Timing is everything; I knew once I received my master's degree that I wanted to help those around me. I am ready for a new challenge and to bring my energy into our growing community. To say I am excited is an understatement."
