Eric Hanneken

Chief of Police

Eric Hanneken joined the Pierz Police Department as Chief of Police in January 2012 with more than 15 years of experience.  His professional experiences include service as a Sheriff's Deputy, Conservation Officer, K-9 Handler, Team Leader on Critical Incident Response Team, and a Rescue Diver. Hanneken is committed to building the Pierz Police Department's internal and external relationships and focuses on strong customer service. Eric Hanneken was raised in the Pierz area where he graduated from Pierz Healy High School in 1993.  He is active on the Pierz and Hillman First Response Teams along with volunteering as a Firearms and Snowmobile Safety Instructor. Chief Hanneken is married and has two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, baseball, and snowmobiling.

Officer Preston Rocheleau

Preston Rocheleau joined the Pierz Police Department in October 2022 as a full-time officer.  Preston spent the last several years with the Morrison County Sheriff's Department as a Correctional Officer. Preston was raised in the Pierz area where he graduated from Pierz Healy High School in 2018. He enjoys spending time with family, friends, and playing baseball for the Pierz Lakers.
