Council Member Gary Berg

I moved to Pierz in 1998 and knew it was the right place to raise a family. Two of my children have graduated from Pierz schools, and my youngest is graduating soon, it has been a great hometown choice for my family.  I have spent 20 years with the Minnesota Department of Corrections and currently serve as a Sergeant. In that role, I am accustomed to solving problems, keeping operations on track, and handling responsibility, including budgets, as the current Treasurer of our Union Local.

As a Pierz City Council Member, I bring common sense, dedication, and a sense of humor to the table. Having watched Pierz grow for over two decades, I am committed to helping guide that growth responsibly while preserving the qualities that make Pierz a great place for families to call home.
